Working on the unfinished task through the G12 Vision
The Jesus Christ Saves Global Outreach – Caloocan Family has been winning souls since 1987 and has been pretty successful at it. During its first 10 years of existence, the church under the supervision of Pastor Francis G. Alvarado, was able to raise up 7 pastors and plant 7 churches which are now also known as local JCSGO Families. These are JCSGO-Amparo, JCSGO-Valenzuela, JCSGO-Bagong Silang, JCSGO-Camarin, JCSGO-Nagcarlan, JCSGO-Novaliches and JCSGO-Tondo. And the winning continues.
But after these 10 years, stagnation came, and ministry became as if only a routine. There have also been problems that shook the church and its leadership.
On October 2003, during the Metro Manila North Region’s (MMNR) Advance Pastoral Training Course in Caliraya, the prophetic word of a “turn around anointing” was given which came from an exhortation in 2 Kings 9. The word came during this time that the pastors and the whole region needed an encouragement the most. Pastor Francis, at the same time being the overseer of the MMNR, held on to the prophetic word and believed in his heart that God will make it happen.
G12 coming at the right time
On July 2004, Pastor Francis became very interested with the G12 vision which was presented to all the JCSGO Overseers by Sis. Lucy Aquilino of the PCEC Prayer Shield Network. With the turn around anointing burning in his heart and a specific leading from the Holy Spirit, Pastor Francis wasted no time. Together with his sector heads, they went to the PCEC office the day after G12 was introduced and asked for more details from Sis. Lucy. The first EGR (Encounter God Retreat) at JCSGO was scheduled on August 20-21, 2004, participated by all MMNR pastors, their wives and core leaders. That was the turning point for JCSGO-Caloocan and the region as well. The G12 vision came just in time!
Prior to the implementation of G12 in the church, JCSGO-Caloocan holds 2 Sunday services, at 9:00AM-12:00noon, then at 3:30-6:00PM. With both services, average weekly attendance is 70-80. It also holds its Wednesday midweek services at 7PM.
And the schedule continued. But in between the services, the first 3 batch of its EGR participants continued with the Post Encounter lessons from 1:30-3:30PM. The Post Encounter went on for 10 consecutive weeks, while Pastor Francis on the other hand, delegated the midweek services to his wife, Pastor Cynthia Alvarado, while he attends G12 coaching sessions every Wednesday for the next 6 months.
Aquarium Principle
In one of the coaching sessions he attended, Pastor Francis received the revelation of the Aquarium Principle and presented to his leaders the idea of concentrating the Sunday service into a single morning celebration, while the G12 trainings are held in the afternoons. So on October 23, 2005, JCSGO-Caloocan held its single Sunday celebration at 9:00AM, while PEPSOL students attend the trainings in the afternoon.
For every EGR schedule, JCSGO-Caloocan never cease to send its participants, prioritizing its worship team, ministry leaders and potential leaders, then the members. Everyone who ministers must have gone to the Encounter and must continue with the training.
As of today, we, continously, experience the multitude through the G12 Vision. To God be the Glory!
